Good question. There’s only one thing we take more seriously than making sure everyone has a good time and that’s the health & safety of our guests, staff and others we come into contact with on tours. As such, until further notice we have stringent COVID-19 protocols that we follow. See here for more.

Regardless of their finer details, each Radventures camper van & vehicle have all the usual modern features as listed on our website are incredibly well maintained, having passed stringent, regular safety inspections before being allowed on the road. However, as these are well-loved vehicles with many highway KM’s under their belt, they’re not in the showroom floor condition they were 10 years ago. In order to be able to access our flexible and affordable insurance policy, the driver of the rental must be 25 years of age or older on the day of departure. We have an option available for those under 25 years of age if the renter is able to provide an official insurance binder from their personal insurer stating explicitly that they are covered for the rental and it’s duration. If you’re under 25 and interested in renting from us, we suggest you contact us before making a booking to ensure your eligibility.
-
After you’ve completed your booking and paid the additional traveller charge, we’ll be in touch about a couple of options for you and your pals. Our rear bed design allows you to fold the bed up allowing seating for 4 during travel mode, then back down when you’re at camp for 2 to sleep. The other two of you will have a high quality tent and bedding to set up. The other option is to provide you with one or our vans, minus the bed frame in the back and either a large tent or smaller tents and bedding, giving you more cargo space in the van for your gear and allowing you to sleep out under the stars each night.
HALF DAY, FULL DAY & MULTI DAY TOURS FAQ
-
You’ll receive an email from us prior to your tour outlining all the information you need for your booking with us. Of course if you have any concerns or questions still, you can email us.

Travel insurance is strongly suggested for all our guests who call somewhere outside Canada home. Healthcare in Canada is exceptional, but the cost of it can be pretty extreme, plus given the fact you’re likely to be going full on the send-o-meter more often than not, it’d be much better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. On top of that, cancellation coverage is always super handy as well incase things don’t go to plan, meaning you can make alternative arrangements without being stung with extra costs.
-
Different tours/trips have varying physical demands, but our most adventurous are designed to be enjoyed by anyone who is reasonably fit. When selecting your tour please make sure you have read through the ability guide and itinerary carefully to assess your ability and to cope with our style of travel. Some trips visit remote areas with limited or non-existent medical facilities so you must be in good health. Factors such as altitude, cold temperatures, delays, unfamiliar food and different customs and cultures can also add to the physical toll. Keep in mind you will sometimes need to carry your own bags. Please note that if, in an extremely unlikely case, in the opinion of our guide, any guest is unable to complete the itinerary without undue risk to themselves and/or the rest of the group, Radventures reserves the right to exclude them from all or part of a trip without refund. You should consult your doctor for up-to-date medical travel information or for any necessary vaccinations before departure. We recommend that you carry a first aid kit as well as any personal medical requirements (including a spare pair of glasses) as they may not easily be obtained at the locations on this trip. For legal reasons our guides are prohibited from administering any type of drugs including headache tablets and antibiotics. Please ensure that you are adequately prepared.

The global health crisis has impacted everyone enormously, so we want to make sure your future travel plans are safe and reassure you that we are committed to supporting our guests in the best way that we can. You can view our latest Coronavirus (COVID-19) information here.

At Radventures we pride ourselves on our flexibility. If you wan’t to enjoy more of this beautiful country before and after your time with us, we’d be more than happy to make any arrangements for you. As for being partly involved in a tour, whilst we can’t make any guarantees about whats possible or not, it’s best that you get in touch with us when you’re considering booking a tour or trip with us and let us know how you want things to work. If it’s feasible and doesn’t inhibit the enjoyment of other guests, then chances are it’s possible!
-
This is a tricky one. We don’t know when other people will book, so it’s hard to know if and when the tour will fill up. Our advice is to book as soon as you’ve made the decision to travel, that way you won’t be disappointed.
-
Once you’ve booked your spot on tour, we will send you through a booking confirmation and provide updates about the tour including any changes and what you need to bring with you. For our multi-day tours, we will send out a Pre Departure Guide 30 days prior to departure and invite you to a group chat which is managed by your tour manager and guides.
-
Radventures doesn’t offer typical group tours, and our guests aren’t typical tour bus travellers. By keeping our tours flexible and small group, it’s a lot easier to find you things like the best snow a destination can offer. We ensure you will see a side of a destination you wouldn’t see on your own. It’s all about authentic experiences with highly experienced leaders who are destination experts. You will mostly travel in private transport and you will stay in comfortable accommodation.
-
We’d imagine that about 99% of our guests on our multi-day tours and many on our day tours are travelling solo, so you’ll be in good company. There’s nothing like sharing some post-shred brews with your new buddies to solidify a life-long friendship.
-
Absolutely! We don’t discriminate. Show up with only a toboggan if you want and we will still make sure you have a good time. Please note that however that the majority of our tours are led by snowboard guides.
-
All of our tours are led by friendly, fun, knowledgeable and expertly trained guides who are passionate about the mountain lifestyle. Be rest assured you’ll be guided by someone who loves what they do and loves getting their guests stoked.
-
On our multi-day tours we make sure that you stay in quality accommodation, that’s in the best location. Unless otherwise specified, the base level of accommodation is usually shared dorms in reputable, well-reviewed and clean hostels. Choosing hostels as our primary type of accommodation helps us keep our costs down when in reality we’re not spending much time at our accommodation anyways. Understandably sharing a room isn’t for everyone, so we have options to upgrade to twin share or single rooms at all our accommodation stops, as well as some options to upgrade to hotels. When you enquire about or book your tour, you’ll be given options for your choice of accommodation style.
-
Our itineraries indicate travelling time and mode of transport to the best of ability. We typically use 9-12 seat passenger vans. Some days on tour we find it more practical and faster to use the local ski-shuttle as it drops us off right at the lifts. Although there are some days where we travel relatively long distances, our trips are organized to make travelling as convenient and efficient as possible, maximizing your time on the mountain or doing activities. Our travel days are sometimes a highlight of a trip, with interesting communities and spectacular landscapes encountered en route.
-
All our multi-day tours and even some of our day tours are a combination of organized activities and free time. Our itineraries should give you an idea of how much free time to expect. It also depends on the trip, eg. some of our road-trip’s may have less free time than other trips. We know it’s important that you have time to yourself. If you have any questions, just ask us.
